When does GTA 6 come out?
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a current-generation exclusive at launch — there is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version planned.
The road to this date
GTA 6 was confirmed in development back in 2022, and the first trailer arrived in December 2023 to record-breaking numbers. A second trailer followed in May 2025, drawing over 475 million views in its first 24 hours.
The release itself moved more than once. After an initial 2025 target, Rockstar settled on a May 26, 2026 date, then pushed it to November 19, 2026 — explaining that the extra time was needed to deliver the polish a game this size demands.
Is a PC version coming?
Not at launch. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are confirmed. Rockstar has not announced a PC release, though historically its games arrive on PC some time after the console launch. See our FAQ for more.
